In The Red
All it takes is an hour of your time.
Go down there, fill in the registration and acknowledgement form.Have your identity card scanned and proceed to the doctor.Have your BP checked and your finger pricked.
Wait for your turn.
Move over to the deckchair and the nurses will prepare everything. You just have to be there.A anaesthetic shot, the extraction needle goes in,and just go pumping away.
After your bag is full and the needle removed, just rest for a while, apply pressure on the wound with a guaze, rest for 10 minutes.
When you feel ok,move to the refreshment section.That's everyone's favourite part.Milo,chrysanthemum tea,mineral water,sultana biscuits,filled biscuits.If you want to you can dabao a few home.Just don't get caught.
Right, all set to leave now!Remember to take your iron tablets daily.
You have just donated some blood to the needy.
Please people, the hospitals need a lot of blood from us donors to save lives and replace patients' blood during operations. It just isn't valid when you say you're afraid that you'll faint or the sight of blood irks you.Even worse, telling me you don't have enough blood to go around is enough to earn you one tight slap.Don't be selfish.Think of those who need something from you.You just get poked thrice, they have to go under the knife and let those butcher-surgeons play god. It's worth it.The bloodbank doesn't have enough to go around.
