was working at the world book fair in suntec yesterday, and the next few days to come if i can last that long. supposed to sell this product called math teach, those "games" and problem solving stuff meant for primary school students.
was manning this 'number challenge' booth with those sums and problems which you use number discs to fill in the blanks. meant for primary 2 -4.
boy, are they difficult.
makes me wonder what the heck our stupid MOE is thinking, making our little kids suffer at such a young age. there was an educational games booth just opposite me. if i wasn't that hard up for sales, i would have directed the parents over to the other side. what harm can toys do to them?
anyway 2 girls, one 5 one 7 came to our booth with their mum in tow. they reminded me of my 2 cousins Faith and Megan. no wonder i felt so close to them, the funny and slightly delayed laughter, the missing teeth, those sweet endearing smiles. it was such fun playing with them that the time spent standing throughout the day was worth it.
then their mum said their dad is elsewhere and they'll go find him. coming back later.
i hope they don't grow up to become such good liars, because for a moment, i thought the mum was telling the truth.
but the 2 little angels had me thinking, will i have a future dealing with kids? i'm good at handling and playing with them. maybe i should open a daycare.
